2020 Annual Meeting

Notice and Call of Annual Meeting of Members

Notice of Bylaw Amendments

This is the Official Notice and Call of Freedom Credit Union’s Annual Meeting of Members. Members are encouraged to register to attend. The meeting will be conducted on September 29, 2020, at 6:00 PM, and you are encouraged to join 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
We will hold the annual meeting virtually for registered members. This is a first, and the annual meeting will be a different experience for Freedom’s Board, the staff, and members. We decided to hold the annual meeting virtually because the state and national emergencies that remain in place and there are limits on large gatherings in the counties that make up our field of membership.

Members will be required to register to attend the annual meeting by completing the online registration (link above).  Upon verification of membership in good standing, you will receive a link providing you access to Freedom Credit Union’s 2020 Annual Meeting along with a pdf document of the annual report.  The registration will be made available on the 15th of September.

The meeting shall be held for the following purposes:

1.      To report on the status and operations of the credit union.

2.       To transact any other business that may properly come before the meeting.

Notice of Bylaw Amendments

Freedom’s Board of Directors made two changes to the credit union’s bylaws and this serves as your notice of these changes.

1.     Added new Section 6 to Article III, permitting virtual annual meetings in emergency situations like the COVID 19 pandemic.  The PA Department of Banking has approved this change.

1.     To be good stewards of Freedom’s resources, the Board added a new Article XIV, a class action waiver provision that provide more clarity as to how legal disputes between the credit union and its members will be resolved.  This amendment is being reviewed by the PA Department of Banking.
